ABOUT ME

I'm Susan Braverman and I Make Things

Creativity is a part of my DNA. My passion for drawing, painting and sewing goes back for as long as I can remember. However, being a military spouse, working full time as a registered nurse and raising three daughters didn't leave much time for artistic outlets as years went by.

In 2019 I switched gears and left a high pressure job that required 24/7 accountability to focus on creative textile art full time. I gravitate toward using solid color fabrics that allow composition to take center stage in a contemporary, graphic style. My current work explores how simple geometric shapes can be leveraged to develop intriguing, abstract compositions.
